About

I’m Amlan Das. I work on AI products and platforms—primarily for developers, engineers, and others who work with technology. My focus is making AI adoption frictionless and useful in practice, in messy corporate environments, not just isolated demos.

Most of my professional work stays private: enterprise platforms, systems at scale, problems where the constraints are real. Simpleflo is me building in public. I shipped three working utilities solo, using AI coding tools — roughly 260K lines of code in about a month. They’re hobby projects, so they have some rough edges, but they’re real shipped products that people can use today. If you want to see how I think about AI product work—how I scope problems, make trade-offs, and get things out the door—this is a working demonstration.

Where I’ve been focusing recently

I like problems where capability alone isn’t enough. AI is getting better every quarter, but making it work—in real workflows, with real constraints, for real users—is a different challenge. This is where I’ve been spending my time over the past year: how context flows, how systems stay coherent as they scale, how you build something people can actually trust and use.

I love tackling and owning problems where the path isn’t fully mapped and you have to figure it out as you go. I’d rather ship something, learn from it, and iterate than wait for certainty that never comes.

I also care about calm software—tools that help you feel more capable, not more overwhelmed. AI should fit naturally into real workflows without turning every task into a research project.
